To see something that you have taken up through to the end is a sign of intelligence! I really feel renewed having taken up the post of President ( although a little reluctantly in the beginning ) and completed some the Goals given by our dear friend, guide and mentor of the District, Chairman Bina Jain. All the Projects be it Child Care, Literacy Environment, Medical, District Rally, Permanent Project REWA, and the Meetings both general and Board have sailed through smoothly All this has been possible due to ‘Friendship’ the Lifeline of Inner Wheel. Jennifer Duley an artist from London who was commissioned to paint the cover of the International Inner wheel newsletter describes the IW members as a band of women promoting friendship and support while working towards the fulfillment of the true potential of the individual. Each friendship represents a word in us, a word possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born. True friendship multiplies the good in life and divides its evils Life without friends is like life on a desert island. |
Real friends are good fortune and a blessing! Friends you have shown that, all of your work and talents are for others. Marie Curie the great scientist has said “Life is not easy for any of us, but we must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something, and that thing, at whatever cost, must be attained” When you live your life to the fullest you have so much more to give others. Your pain and misery does not help the world. But your joy and your life lived fully uplifts the world. All you friends have lived up to the theme given by our own International President Dr Pallavi Shah, you have been Committed to the Service sans any attitude, you have showered love and Compassion selflessly on others and this enthusiasm and emotion, I assure you with Conviction, will remain in the Club Consistently throughout the year and many more years to come. There are many more Projects on the anvil for this year the biggest of them all is the District Conference The planning that the Teams have up their sleeves will leave no stone unturned to make the Dist.Conference and other Projects both Service and Fellowship truly ‘Sarthak’ (Fruitful).
